Crabby 8, Spacious yet compact sauna house

The house structure consists of three cross-laminated timber (CLT) modules of different sizes. Each module is taller and wider than the previous one. The steam room module is the narrowest and lowest in dimensions so that the steam does not escape. The sauna bench can accommodate up to four people. The relaxation area module is larger and more spacious so that sauna users can cool down. The spacious terrace module with a roof offers shelter from the rain for a more enjoyable experience. The sloped walls of the modules allow for comfortable integrated benches in the sauna steam room, the changing room and the relaxation area. The cross-laminated timber elements have a very strong structure, add sound and wind resistance to the sauna and are aesthetically pleasing in the interior.

Equipment

The walls, ceilings and floors consist of 60 mm cross-laminated timber elements. There is a choice of wood or electric heaters. The relaxation area includes installed benches. The doors to the steam room and relaxation area are made of tempered bronze glass and unlocked. If desired, the (external) door to the relaxation area can be customized with a lock. The roofing material is 0.6 mm powder-coated sheet metal. The shades of the wooden parts and the roofing sheet can be customized at your request.
